Being beautiful also means having a beautiful skin. Skin is a great indicator of a person's health. Keeping in mind the external factors that affect our skin like pollution, stress and unhealthy diet, it's so much more important to take extra steps to maintain our skin. Even before we consider what outfit to wear or what make up to apply, isn't it important to have a healthy skin too? A person with a clear healthy skin is always the talk of the town. Here are a few tips to keep your skin beautiful and healthy.
Clean your face - Clean your face daily and gently with a mild face wash. Check what face wash works best for you. Give it time to work. Don't be rough while cleaning and also don't clean so much that it dries out the skin.
Exfoliate - It's essential to exfoliate everyday. Exfoliating removes the dead cells and gives room for fresh and new skin cells to take over. Exfoliating helps the skin to breathe. It purifies the skin and maintains it's natural balance. Facials, masks and scrubs make great exfoliators.
Moisturize - It's essential to keep the skin moisturised by following a daily moisturizing routine. Moisturizing balances the level of water in the skin.
Sun Protection.- Harmful rays of the sun causes maximum damage. They hasten ageing and cause other skin damages. Use a sun protection with SPF thirty or more and use it even on cloudy days.
When indoors try and avoid make up as much as possible as that would give room for your skin to breathe.
Remove make up with a PH neutral make up remover.
Do not pop a pimple as that increases your chances for blemishes and infection.
Do not take hot water showers often cause that removes healthy oils and causes dryness.
Maintain hygiene, avoid stress and smoking. Avoid smoking not only to keep a healthy skin but for the overall health.
Exercising regularly ensures better blood circulation and helps in eliminating toxins from the body.
Drink plenty of water. They help in flushing out toxins from the body.
Healthy diet would bring a natural glow to your skin.
These are a few tips that come to my mind. If you have your own ideas to maintain a healthy skin, do go ahead and start the process right away. Remember healthy skin means a healthy you.
I think the two things that I always swear by are exfoliating and moisturising. I simply can't live without them. If I don't do either my skin looks tired and dull.
